:: Unusually large proportioned Afshar / tribal weaving. Triple center medallion atop an allover covered field in a Herati inspired motif. Excellent contrast and unique motif for the type, while still embodying many of the traditional design elements, such as birds and animals throughout. Colors and shades include: Cherry red, mallard green, saffron yellow, sky blue, indigo, ivory, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint areas of foundation showing through. Fully secured sides and ends. Approximately one foot at one end of the rug has been fully restored. Old moth etchings present. A few scattered areas will need repairs prior to shipping. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Afshar made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 7'6" x 16'2".
